Power, Agility and Speed for Sports

OPT Physical Therapy is proud to present our third Power, Agility and Speed for Sports (PASS) program.  We have designed a great program to develop better athletes and to reduce injury risk.  The PASS program is FREE and will be on Wednesday evenings, 6-7:30, at the Newport County YMCA soccer field starting on June 29th. The camp is geared to athletes from age 13 to college level.  The program is designed using OPT PT’s years of experience along with the latest research and will include:

–          Entire program is designed to reduce injury risk, specifically ACL injuries

–          Flexibility training

–          Cutting and agility drills

–          Plyometric and power training

–          Acceleration and deceleration training

–          Sport-specific biomechanical analysis and training

Physical therapist Josh Clare will be supervising the PASS program.  Josh received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009 and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA.  Along with his 9 years of experience as a high school wrestling coach, Josh is uniquely qualified to bring a superb experience to our athletes.  Remember, the off season is where champions are made.
