Baseball’s Spring Fever!

By admin

Baseball season is upon us and the physical therapists with OPT have been out in force to support our local athletes. The art of pitching a baseball and hitting a baseball is like no other in sport. To maximize performance and prevent injury, education of our athletes, parents and coaches is key. Armed with the latest in sports medicine research from leading pro surgeons such as Dr. Andrews and Dr. Kibler, OPT’s physical therapists have developed screens designed to identify weakness and compensation associated with pitching delivery as well as the ability to powerfully swing a bat.
OPT is pleased to have provided pre-season safety lectures to our little league coaches, and pre-game/practice warm-up programs for our local teams. Haven’t seen us at your team’s practice or have questions for our therapists? Don’t hesitate to give any of our offices a call and we will make sure to get your team or your athlete performing at the highest level possible.

“The instructions you provided for stretching exercises and flexibility have already been implemented. The boys gained a better appreciation of how they can improve their performance with better conditioning. You have certainly helped me to improve the level of instruction these young men deserve, and for that I am very grateful. “
