OPT Teams Up with Riverbend for Breast Cancer Fund Raiser
Runners Helping Others: Last week OPT was spotted at Riverbend Athletic Club in Wakefield helping to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Awareness auction. A group of a dozen runners had the chance to donate money in exchange for a free OptoGait Digital Running Analysis. The most unique and informative running analysis of its kind, and the only one in Rhode Island, the OptoGait system is the world leader in providing running data in real time to measure symmetry and efficiency. The technology was put to good use as the runners signed up for their testing and all the money raised was donated to Breast Cancer Research programs. Among the runners were triathletes, NYC Marathon competitors, recent Narragansett Half-Marathon devotees and a few who were just curious about their running efficiencies. Riverbend and OPT have teamed up in other community outreach programs such as the Heather Abbott Foundation as well. A great big thank you goes out to all the participants and to Denise Robbin of Riverbend for organizing.
